The Difference of Whey Protein Isolate to Concentrate

Among the three types of whey protein, there is a lot of confusion on which to choose between the protein isolate and concentrate. With whey protein isolate, the biological value is on its highest peak and it is the purest form of protein containing 85 to 98% of it. It is meant for persons trying to lose weight and those who wanted to have a lean muscle mass. However, protein isolate is quite expensive compared to protein concentrate.

Based on the nutritional facts it is evident that whey protein is a good form of protein for body building and weight loss. The human system can quickly digest and absorb protein in the form of whey protein shakes. Whey protein concentrate is also a good form of protein that is ideal to use for body building and dieters. The fat percent and lactose in protein concentrate is higher while the protein isolate contains more protein. But both of these whey protein types are a good help in lean muscle mass and weight loss.
