Headache back of head are often associated with tension headaches. The tension headache is usually described as moderate and dull. When affected by tension headache you will experience achy and unpleasant sensation of pressure experienced on the forehead at the sides or back of the head, which is similar to having a very tight bad around your head. The tension headache exact cause is not fully known but according to many researchers, they link it to closely changes of the brain chemicals that work as neurotransmitters and substances that cause the blood vessels to constrict. There is also some evidence that migraines and tension headaches have similar cause and are therefore related. The migraine are more intense compare to tension headaches and starts on one side of the head and sometime the if you suffer from it you may feel pain in the back of the head, around your eyes or in the forehead.
