Christmastime had arrived at last for the McGuffey household. Now that I had moved to Chicago to be with my friend Melinda, I was invited to join them for their big Christmas party they hold every year. I spent some time shopping beforehand and picked out gifts I was sure that each of the family members would love. The day before the party, I helped Melinda locate the lego advent calendar I had told her about, and she purchased it. I couldn’t wait for Jimmy to see it. After dinner on Christmas Eve, we all gathered in the parlor to open up presents. We decided that the youngest guests would open their presents first. Jimmy grabbed a gift that I knew just had to be the calendar. As he excitedly tore away the wrapping paper, I could notice a smile a mile wide beginning to appear on his face. “Wow, a Lego set! Thanks, Mom!” he said, turning to look at Melinda. Melinda laughed and said, “It’s not just a Lego set, son. It’s also an Advent calendar! I didn’t pick it out myself. Miss Alisha had a part in it, too.”

With winter coming, many people will find their kids getting restless and looking for ways to burn that built up energy. Kids naturally have a lot of energy that needs to be burned. A toddler climber is a great way for kids to burn all of that built up energy.
Most toddler climbers like the Little Tikes Mountain Climber make great outdoor toys, as well as indoor toys. Bring your toddler climber in for the winter and put it in your basement or playroom. Your kids will appreciate a place to climb and play while the weather is cold and you cannot spends your days in the yard.
If you put some mats around your toddler climber, you will have a great place for your kids to play throughout the winter. As they are learning to climb and navigate their toddler climber, there is the chance that they will take a spill. The rubber mats will make a safe play area for them to use their toddler climber indoors.
Parents will appreciate the chance for their toddlers to burn their energy and the fact that the toddler climber will keep your kids interest while you tackle some chores or watch a little television. It will give mom or dad the needed break from entertaining kids or listening to how bored they are.
The toddler climbers are very easy to put together, as well as take apart and move to a different location. Most toddler climbers will not take up too much room in your basement or playroom. Kids will love having a place to climb and play throughout the long dreaded months of winter. When that long winter is over and it is time to play outside again, the toddler climber is easily disassembled and moved back out to your yard for summertime play again.

Little kids love to play in the kitchen. From an early age, they are fascinated with banging on the pots and the pans. Then, they become interested in the magic of cooking and washing up. Getting a toy kitchen, like the Step 2 Lifestyle Custom Kitchen, allows them to pursue this interest without the risk of getting burned and injured in a real kitchen.
This toy kitchen is incredibly lifelike. You can start using it when your child is three, and they can keep using it for the res of their childhood. It’s very realistic, with a stove, fridge, and cupboards that open and shut. The cupboards are made of sturdy plastic but look like wood. It cleans up easily and makes all sorts of cool sounds for realistic play.
Of course, as your child gets older you’ll want them to help you in the real kitchen as well so they can learn how to really cook and clean up.
