If we take a look around these days in search for the perfect stroller, we may be overwhelmed with the amount of choices available. There are many great high end strollers like “The first years wave stroller,” the “Bob revolution” and the many ranges of Jogger strollers that have become quite popular over the past few years..
You might think this is a nice problem to have with such good choices at your disposal, and in some ways you would be right. However, it becomes increasingly difficult to make that all important decision when everyone and their dog seems to be shouting from the rooftops of how good the strollers they are promoting really are.
For parents who are in the market for a new stroller for their first child this can be a bit of hit and miss when it comes to distinguishing between the many solid models out there. If you so happen to land on a website where a certain type of product is being promoted, you can be certain that the reviewer is biased in their sales promotion of a particular brand, usually to the demise of its competition.
Does this mean you are being lied to? Actually this cuts both ways. On one hand the reviewer is focused solely on promoting a particular brand, but at the same time they may have picked that particular brand to promote because of the quality of the product to begin with. Is the “first years wave stroller” for example, better than the “Bob revolution” when clearly you have two conflicting reviews from separate individuals promoting each one?
Well, the answer is not whether the reviewer is to be trusted, but mainly down to how they break down the product to begin with. If a stroller is talked about in great detail and nothing seems to be left out of the review, then you need to take that information, compare it to some testimonials from parents who have already made a similar purchase, and weigh up your options before making a decision.
Let’s face it, every purchase comes with its worries and apprehension, but at the end of the day it is up to you to get as much information from different sources and compile a list of the benefits and features and compare them to your other choices. At the end of the day it is you that will make the final decision so make sure to do your due diligence before any decision is finally made.
Remember, take people’s reviews about the strollers they are promoting with a pinch of salt, and get a wide range of views from different sources. I would suggest you also look for some kind of return policy on your purchase as well as some sort of guarantee.
Happy shopping.
