Personality Psychometric Test for Employment

Anyone who has ever held a job or hired for a job knows the vital role that personality plays in workplace success. As such, many companies are choosing to administer a personality psychometric test to applicants during the hiring process.

The goal of these tests is to quantify an applicant’s personality by analyzing the answers to questions about their feelings, behaviors, and thoughts about situations that could occur both at work and at home.

Employers are likely looking for a certain level of energy and enthusiasm for an open position. Usually, personality tests can inform the employer as to the energy level of the applicant. In addition, these tests will also reveal whether or not the applicant is likely to mesh with the current group dynamics of the organization. Clearly, being able to get along with others is a personality trait that can predict success, and it is better for employers to know about potential personality conflicts prior to hiring people for specific jobs.
