There are so many promotional items that you can buy from so many different suppliers that it can make you dizzy. Everyone hands out ballpoint pens and refrigerator magnets. And you know what? The “inexpensive” ballpoint pens start to leak after a few months – hardly the image you want the customer to remember you with! – and everybody has more refrigerator magnets already than they can deal with. The commonplace promotional items don’t work as well as they used to, simply because they *are* commonplace now. But, you know, most people do travel from time to time, and business people travel more than most. Something that everyone needs are personalized luggage tags, preferably two per bag because the airlines manage to destroy even the best tags on a regular basis.
