It amazes me sometimes how simple things or simple words are easily misunderstood by some people. We were at our music class one afternoon and we were discussing about music genre. The main topic about that time was house music. While our music teacher was busily discussing about it, my two other classmates were also busy discussing something on themselves. I was a little distracted by their low murmurings but still kept on focusing to our teacher’s discussion. I saw our teacher look on their way as he was reaching the end of his discussion and thought that they will be scolded or be sent to disciplinary room. But I was wrong; he just continued discussing until the class ended. Then, before we left for our next class, he did give as an assignment. That was to research on “how to make house” which will be due the following day.

The next day, our teacher collected our assignments and let my two classmates who were chatting at his class the other day to read their assignments. While they were reading, the entire class were giggling and laughing. Confusion painted on their faces. Then our teacher told them that they’ve submitted the wrong assignment. They took the “house” literally as a house where people live but what our teacher really pertained to was house music. Well, it’s just a matter of being attentive.
